Expanding my horizons, I visited an alpaca farm in the Bryan area with family and learned so much about these sweet animals. They had beautiful coats, and most of them enjoyed or tolerated being petted by all of the visitors on the farm that day. Their wool is used for knitting, and making items such as scarves and blankets. I think it would be fun to have one as a pet, however, they prefer living in herds. That could be problematic for us...I wonder what our neighbors would think! LOL!
